[OnlinePrasad Team] Brief introduction about yourself.
I am an engineering graduate from one of the IIT’s. I am also a graduate in science, post graduate in economics & having other qualifications in management. I joined Government of India through Engineering Services Examination conducted by UPSC & recently superannuated from the post of Additional Director General, DGS&D, Ministery of Commerce. I also belong to a family where none of the members even the forefathers had slightest inclination or knowledge of this subject. [OnlinePrasad Team] You are a very well renowned personality in Astrology as you have been awarded as “Jyotish Martand”, “Jyotish Shiromani”, and “Pracharya” how do you feel about it?

Though I am teaching this subject fro last 30 years, still I consider myself as a student of Astrology. This is a great knowledge which can be of great help in improving the quality of life. Our aim is to spread this knowledge amongst masses. We are dedicated in our mission. I definitely feel satisfied with my efforts and dedication in exploring this knowledge.
[OnlinePrasad Team] You have very strong academic qualifications, what made you to get turned towards Astrology? Was that intrinsic or extrinsic? What was your motivation?

As a student of science, I never had belief in Astrology, Palmistry etc.
After completing my engineering course and joining the government service, I had a chance to glance through my birth chart which my mother told was made within a period of one month of my birth. I was shocked to find that each & every word written on that birth chart was 100% correct about my life up to that point. It was beyond my imagination, as to how a person can write about my entire life details at the time of my birth. It was not palatable for me. This was the turning point of my life. My interest & curiosity was aroused to know the subject in detail. At this point of my life, I started contacting many known astrologers & requested them to teach me this knowledge but none of them agreed.

Ultimately, I was told about Astro Science Research Organization who is imparting education in this subject and is managed by highly qualified professionals in other fields.
I joined this institute to study Astrology in depth. This organization was conducting classes on weekends so I could manage with my job. However as usual, I had to take permission from government to join this course. I studied this subject for about four years and completed all the courses with distinction. At that time my Gurus, who taught me, desired that I should join the faculty of this organization. Due to my passion, I willingly agreed. This was the beginning of my journey in the boat of Astrology.

[OnlinePrasad Team] Was there a pivotal point that made you to become expert and do consultations to public?

Teaching Astrology helped me to great extent in going through the depth of knowledge. We have done lot of research work in our institute. After knowing about me, most of my friends & relatives started consulting me. Slowly it extended to other people also. After my superannuation from the government service, I started consultation for the public. My purpose is to provide proper guidance so that people are not exploited by the so called Pundits who have little or no knowledge of this subject.
Could you please explain the fundamental differences between sun sign and moon sign in Vedic astrology?

In Vedic Astrology, we rely on Ascendant, Moon sign and Sun sign. Ascendant is out body, Moon is our mind & Sun is our soul. Therefore body, mind & soul are examined by all the three. Each one has different role.

[OnlinePrasad Team] In your extraordinary experience did you encounter some typical cases? Could you share with us?

While working for the government, II had variety of experience while dealing with bureaucrats & politicians but our ethics do not permit to disclose any personal matter. Even then, once my boss called me & wanted to study his horoscope. After going into the birth chart, I told him that that you are due for two promotions in the next three years. He became furious & said you are talking bullshit. He showed me his resignation letter which was with him at that time & he planned to submit same due to serious illness of his wife. I told him calmly that, sir, you will not submit resignation & will enjoy two promotions. The same thing happened & after getting two promotions he superannuated. He has lot of respect & love for me now & evenl his family members now consult me.

Once, one of my friend & his wife came to our house in the evening with sweets to tell us that he has now got a plum posting in Delhi, which he was striving for couple of months. Without knowing his horoscope, by studying the position of planets at that time, I told them that you have joined at a wrong time & you may have to leave this post within couple of days. They could not believe at that time but it was fated which nobody could stop.

Politicians are very shrewd & you have to be extremely cautions while dealing with them. I, during my journey, had to deal with number of senior politicians. Once during the time when elections for Lok Sadha were declared, a senior minister of Rajasthan without calling me came to my house. He apologized & mentioned that due to urgency of the, he has taken this liberty. He told me that he is coming from the party office & has been offered a ticket for Lok Sabha. He wants to know, if has any chance to win the election. If there is possibility of winning, then only he will accept the ticket. After glancing at his horoscope, I told him, Sir, you are not going to get the ticket so where the question of win or lose. He told me that there is no doubt about the ticket & I have come here only to know whether I can win the election. I again & again told him that he cannot get the ticket. He became very angry & left the house in bad mood telling his companion that this person does not know anything as all great astrologers in Rajasthan have guaranteed him that he will win the Lok sabha election at this time. . The next day when I saw the list of candidates for the election in news paper, his name was not there. Since then he had been touching my feet & always invited me to Rajasthan House whenever he was in Delhi.

Once I had a chance to meet Ms Phoolan Devi who along wth her brother-in-law wanted to show me her hand. This was the time before her death. I answered all her questions & told that her life was in danger. When I was holding her hand, I found that her hand was as soft as that of any young female. She invited me to her house. I told this event to my wife in the evening when she advised me not to dare to go to her house.

A senior central minister once telephoned & mentioned that he cannot disclose his identity. However he wanted to consult me only on phone. He was not having the correct time of birth, so I told him to inform some major events of his life. After listening to him, I told him his name. He was so happy and he invited me to his house number of times and kept on consulting me.

[OnlinePrasad Team] Have you encountered any of your client who was atheists?

Let me tell you that Astrology is not a religion. It is knowledge. Therefore even atheist should have no objection in consulting an astrologer. People from all over the world from all religions including Muslims, Jains, Sikhs, Christians are believer of this knowledge & have been consulting me. I have many clients from Pakistan & Arabian countries.

I am the first astrologer who after doing lot of research, ventured in making predictions about stock markets. Times of India published my predictions of stock market on Q&A on editorial page. The response has been enormous. People from all over the world have appreciated my predictions on stock market.

Ans: Astrology is a systematic knowledge which if developed like any other subject can of great help to mankind. Quality of life can be improved, productivity can be increased and many complex problems of modern lives can be tackled.

[OnlinePrasad Team] During the time as a Government officer, how did you used to manage your hectic schedule between your professional life, personal life and astrology?

Ans: It was a real horrendous task for me. However, since classes were held only on weekends, I could manage regular study. But I had to restrict becoming professional astrologer.

I will only advise my colleagues and close relations apart from devoting some time for print & electronic media. The credit goes to wife Ms USHA who had not only tolerated me all these years but also inspired me from time to time. In fact it was her time that I devoted for this subject. I appreciate her contribution through my soul as without her support, nothing was possible.
